Simplicity

It's the small things in life that make it so beautiful, the things that bring us that burst of excitement without even knowing it, the smiles that seem to come out of no where and the happiness that rises from the simple moments. If we can all just focus on life's small gifts we'll worry less about our tomorrow's and live more for our today's. Here's a few of my simple joys...

Freshly cut flowers

The smell of fresh herbs in the kitchen

Pink Lemonade

Wearing Lingerie

Teal

Pink Converse

Going to the farmer's market

Doing my nails with Crackle polish

Sand between my toes

Watching food network

The Beach-anytime day or night
(Joys of living on an island)

Going to the gym

Candles, lit and floating

Take some time to enjoy the simple joys in your life and allow yourself to smile more often.

It's a Virtue

I'm currently playing the waiting game with a few things in my life and It's made me realize that I have absolutely no patience. It really is a great talent to possess and I tip my hat to anyone who has mastered the art of patiently waiting. With everything becoming so technically advanced, most things don't require a long wait anymore, we no longer have to sit around and drive ourselves insane waiting, because we have all the answers right at our finger tips, however their those few things that will always require us to play the waiting game and to be honest it's driving me up a wall! So to take my mind off the inevitable wait, I've been focusing on the simple thing's and putting my energy into the small happy moments the day brings: afternoon swims, going to the gym, trying new recipes,...because after all it's the simple moments that make us the happiest. fingers crossed this game ends soon.

Oh Audrey..

Every now and then we all need a little something to push us, to wake us up and make us smile..today my pick me up, came from Ms. Hepburn, not only did she have a timeless beauty and an elegance all women wanted but she had all the right words, to inspire and bring smiles to the cloudiest days. Thought I'd share some of my favorite quotes from her, Enjoy! :)

Lucky for me it's the prefect weather for a movie night,
Breakfast at Tiffany's anyone?

La Dolce Vita

So my blog has gone under a little make-over, thought it was time for a change and since I've begun my new journey, I figured i'd take my blog with me and indulge it with it's own something new.I know I haven't blogged in awhile but I've been busy soaking in this new life of mine, getting use to being a wife and taking in every step of this amazing chapter. I've never been happier and tomorrow has never looked so bright, so with that being said, I thought I'd share some of my new happy boosters.

-Never waking up alone
-The smell of Coffee at the break of dawn
-Packing beach bags for a beach day in the middle of the week
-Making dinner together
-Long drives with no destination
-The smell of clean sheets and nothing to do but lay in them
-When the laundry is done, the house is cleaned, dinner is cooked and there's nothing left to do but take a long hot (lavender infused) bath alone (or together) :)
-Playing our "Lazy day" playlist on Sunday mornings
-Quiet evenings sitting on the balcony with just a book and a glass of wine
-Lit candles
-Surprise date nights
-Grocery shopping (surprisingly it makes me smile)
-Hearing his truck pull in every evening
-Writing my name with a "Mrs."
-Being introduced as...His wife

...This list can go on forever, I'm living La Dolce Vita and it feels so good :)

Love,
